WebAuthn and Secure Payments Confirmation (SPC)

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has introduced a RC version of the web standard called Secure Payment Confirmation (SPC) to streamline user authentication and improve security when making payments on the web.

It uses Web Authentication (WebAuthn) to register and authenticate users, enabling them to make purchases using Touch ID or Windows Hello.
